UVI announce Glass Orchestra

UVI’s latest collection of 14 hand-made glass instruments looks to step outside the norms with a unique and beautifully detailed sample library.

One-of-a-kind is certainly the best way to describe UVI’s new instrument library Glass Orchestra. A sound designer’s delight, they have gone all out to present this collection of 14 sampled instruments capturing the unique style of French composer Jean-Claude Chapuis and his renowned work with the Philharmonie de Paris.

The 14 included instruments are the Gamelan, Glass Bells, Seraphin, Cristal Baschet, Marimba, Harp, Glass Armonica, Cymbal Bells, Verrophone, Chimes, Tympanon, Balafon, Carillon, and Triangle, each available in multiple playing styles ranging from traditional to experimental.

The sound of the hauntingly beautiful and delicate glass instruments included are all unique and yet cohesive as a collection. Listening to Jean-Claude’s work and the sound demo video below will surely whet your appetite for more.
