Oh baby! Orange Amplification relaunch the Glenn Hughes Signature Purple O Bass
Having trouble being seen or heard on stage? Not any more with Orange Amplification’s new Glenn Hughes signature O Bass range.
Hot off the recent release of the Glenn Hughes signature Crush Bass 50 Combo Amp range, the matching O Bass V2 is available with some slight upgrade mods from the original 2015 model. Colour choices are orange, black and, you guessed it, deep purple!
The 4-string bass is made from African Okoume wood which is super lightweight while retaining excellent resonance. A sweet split Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup sits in the swappable ivory or black scratchplates.
Of course, the neck is maple with a Purpleheart fretboard and the bass is finished with a chequerboard binding around the body and headstock for a super cool rock look.
The Glenn Hughes Signature Purple O Bass captures the essence of the 1960s and 70s, along with the origins of heavy metal. Regardless of the genre, this striking deep purple bass guitar is sure to make a bold statement in any stage or studio setting, especially when paired with the matching Glenn Hughes Signature Crush Bass 50 Combo in purple.
Known to millions of fans as the ‘Voice of Rock’, Gleen Hughes is currently performing live on a nationwide US tour promoting the 50th Anniversary of Deep Purple’s Burn album.
Street prices from around $550 USD.
