IK Multimedia’s new iRig Stream Mic sets new standards for versatile music and content creators.

IK Multimedia has released a streamlined new version of the popular iRig Stream Mic, this USB version makes life easy for desktop, tablet and mobile phone content creators.

The nifty cardioid condenser microphone and audio interface combination can be set up as a free-standing desktop stand or from an adjustable swing arm allowing you to record and mix all from a convenient position in your setup.

The USB-powered unit includes a 16bit 48k interface with 3.5mm input for external devices, keyboards and mixers that can be mixed with loopback signal from your host device. You can plug your headphones directly into the mic and balance the signals as well as direct monitoring for checking the overall sound before going out to your stream.

This looks to be a brilliant setup for podcasters and YouTube creators, bypassing the need for pricey digital mixers. Utilising something like IK Multimedia’s excellent MixBox for iPad and a USB-C adaptor, you can stream pretty much anywhere.
