Full-length album from The Disappointments

Three of New Zealand’s most well-known musicians and personalities have banded together as The Disappointments to today release what critics are already describing as one the most honest and authentic Kiwi albums of 2018.

The self-titled album THE DISAPPOINTMENTS has been a labour of love for the legends who make up the band – Hammond Gamble (vocals/guitar), Andy Macdonald (bass) andBrent Eccles (drums).

GambleMacdonald and Eccles are no strangers to playing together. As Street Talk in the 70s, they toured extensively and drew critical praise for their albums. They all went on to pursue successful careers in music, with Gamble carving out an illustrious solo career; Macdonald forming the band Blind Date with Street Talk guitarist Mike Caen, and Ecclesgaining international acclaim as the drummer in The Angels.

Fast forward several decades, and the trio are back together as The Disappointments with a cracking album steeped in old school rock ‘n’ blues.

To celebrate the release of the album, The Disappointments are playing a ‘Buck a Head’ concert on Anzac Day (Wednesday, April 25) at the Tuning Fork in Auckland. Presented by Hauraki, the one-off concert really will set punters back just $1, with Ticketmaster waiving their booking fee for the night.
